DEİK organized the Türkiye–Poland Roundtable Meeting on 17 February 2026 in Istanbul, with the participation of Marcin Bosacki, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Nail Olpak, President of DEİK, Hülya Gedik, DEİK/Türkiye–Poland Business Council, Andrzej Dycha, President of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), Bartłomiej Babuśka, President of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP), Andrzej Szewiński, Chair of the Poland–Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group and Member of Parliament, and Turkish and Polish public and private sector representatives.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Bosacki stated that, thanks to economic reforms, Poland offers Turkish investors a long-term, stable, predictable, and competitive environment. As one of the largest and fastest-growing economies in the European Union, he noted that investors in Poland can benefit from a skilled workforce, well-developed industrial and logistics infrastructure, full integration with EU markets, and a strong manufacturing and services base. Bosacki added, "With a strong focus on economic megatrends, Poland provides a supportive ecosystem for innovative sectors, including digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and the space industry."
Expressing his pleasure at visiting Istanbul, the economic center of Türkiye, Bosacki said, "I am pleased to reaffirm our intention to organize the 5th Poland–Türkiye Investment and Business Forum in Istanbul this May. I believe it will be an important meeting bringing together investors from Poland and Türkiye."
Bosacki also emphasized that Poland strengthens its investment attractiveness through its Special Economic Zones system, which offers competitive incentive packages to investors. "These zones support both greenfield investments and capacity expansion projects in major industrial and logistics hubs. In parallel, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) provides comprehensive and practical support to foreign investors, ranging from site selection and regulatory advisory services to coordination with local authorities and other facilitation services," he said.
Gedik: "Türkiye and Poland are production hubs"
DEİK/Türkiye–Poland Business Council Chair Hülya Gedik stated that the foreign trade volume between Türkiye and Poland stands at USD 12.5 billion. Recalling last year's meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Gedik said, "The target set for the foreign trade volume between Türkiye and Poland was to reach USD 15 billion. The bar is constantly being raised; thanks to the high potential of both countries and their strong industrial infrastructures, it is evident that they serve as industrial production hubs."
Emphasizing that Türkiye and Poland are two European countries with very strong manufacturing sectors and high competitiveness, Gedik underlined that this figure should increase further. She noted that bilateral investments do not reflect their true potential and added:
"Investments amounting to USD 55 million from Türkiye to Poland and USD 97 million from Poland to Türkiye are relatively small figures considering the potential of the two countries. We will work in the coming years to increase these numbers. Poland's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcin Bosacki, delivered encouraging remarks. Of course, investment does not happen in isolation; trade comes first. However, both countries share a 600-year history and have no bilateral issues. Therefore, I believe that a trade volume of USD 15 billion is not an unattainable figure."
The meeting was sponsored by Gedik Holding.
