Kemal Yazıcı, born in Trabzon in 1962, graduated from the Aironautical Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in 1982. After graduation, he began his professional career as a project engineer at TUSAŞ Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc., where he assumed various responsibilities in aircraft production until 1994.

Starting in 1995, Yazıcı worked in the automotive sector, holding senior management positions at Toyota Turkey and Toyota Europe from 1995 to 2006, and at Tofaş Turkish Automobile Factory Inc. from 2006 to 2011. He also held various positions within OSD (Automotive Manufacturers Association), ISO (Istanbul Chamber of Industry), and TAYSAD (Turkish Automobile Manufacturers Association) at different times. Currently serving as the president of OİB (Automotive Industry Exporters Association), Yazıcı continues his career in the automotive sector as a board member in four different companies and as a partner and chairman of the board at Ecoplas Otomotiv San ve Tic A.Ş.

Kemal Yazıcı is married and has two children.
