DEİK/Türkiye-Mauritania Business Council was established in January 2011 with the objective of developing bilateral trade and economic relations and of providing a mutually beneficial platform. The establishment of the Council was completed on April 29, 2013 with the official signing of the DEİK-UNPM Business Council Agreement on the 1st Türkiye-Mauritania Joint Business Council Meeting.
The purpose of the DEİK/ Türkiye-Mauritania Business Council is to serve as a platform to fulfil current bilateral cooperation potential, to extend the bilateral trade and to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
