The DEİK/Türkiye-Finland Business Council was established in 1991 with the purpose of furthering the economic and trade ties between the two countries, of strengthening the cooperation between their business communities and of carrying the bilateral relations onto a new level. The Council facilitates contacts between business circles in the two countries, encourages the bilateral dialogue and contributes to an exchange of views and information. In cooperation with the Foreign Trade Union of Finland (FINPRO), the Council promotes business and investment opportunities in Türkiye.
The Council organises sector-based delegation visits and workshops between Türkiye and Finland, one of the leading countries, both on a European and global level, in technological development and innovation. The priority areas of activity of the Council are high-tech, IT, energy, tourism and textiles.
