With the improvement in diplomatic relations between Israel and Türkiye, DEİK, in 1993 decided to establish the DEİK/Türkiye-Israel Business Council in order to contribute to a strengthening of the bilateral economic ties as well. The Council’s activities were focussed on IT, innovation, high-tech, medical equipment, agriculture and food. The Council also organised visits of joint Türkiye-Israeli business delegations of Central Asian Republic with the objective of encouraging joint ventures in third countries.
After the normalisation of Turkish-Israeli relations, the Business Council has been reactivated. It current focus of interest lies in the advancement of cooperation in the areas of ICT, construction, energy and finance.
