The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) operates through the Türkiye-North America Business Councils, specifically the DEİK/Türkiye-U.S. (1985) and DEİK/Türkiye-Canada (2002) Business Councils.

The DEİK/Türkiye-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) was established in 1985 as the first Business Council under the DEİK umbrella, following an agreement signed with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The DEİK/Türkiye-Canada Business Council was founded in 1995, in parallel with North America's regionalization through the NAFTA agreement, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Canadian Exporters' Association.
