Diplomatic relations between Gambia and Türkiye were established with the opening of embassies in their respective capitals and this enabled to growth of bilateral economic and trade relations. DEIK/Türkiye-Gambia was established to assess the current cooperation potential in June 2011 and became official with an agreement between DEİK and GCCI, signed on 11 March 2013.
The Council’s main objective is to assess business potential and to act as a platform for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.
