The DEİK Business Council Türkiye-Ruanda was established in June 2011 in order to exploit the current cooperation potential between the two countries. The objective was to create a platform for the advancement of bilateral trade and economic relations.
After the establishment of the Counterpart Organisation, the Business Council organised events to boost the trade volume between the two countries. As a member of the East African Community Common Market and Customs Union, Ruanda is the gateway to a 130 million-strong market. The country offers investment opportunities for Turkish companies in infrastructure projects such as railroads and air transport, but also in areas such as agriculture, energy and tourism.
