DEİK/Türkiye-Malaysia Business Council was founded on January 17, 1995 and has been operating under the auspices of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) in Türkiye and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCIM) in Malaysia. The Business Council is aimed to:

• Promote, facilitate and encourage trade, investment, technical cooperation, technology and know-how transfer, tourism, training programs and joint ventures between Malaysia and Türkiye 
• Encourage and promote direct trade contacts between entrepreneurs in Malaysia and the ones in Türkiye to further develop commercial and industrial relations between the two countries
• Identify, promote, and facilitate the implementation of specific projects/programs targeted at enhancement of  trade, investment and tourism.
• Ensure understanding in the private sectors of Malaysia and Türkiye regarding economic policies and situations of the two countries.
