TOBB hosted Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s 25th Summit in Istanbul in 2011. 400 businessmen from approximately 22 countries representing 3 million companies joined the Summit. The agreement regarding the establishment of DEİK/Turkey–Philippines Business Council was signed by DEİK, TOBB and Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industrty. The main purpose of the Business Council is to provide an effective mechanism for the business communities of the both countries helping them to raise awareness about each other, and to follow up business opportunities and partnerships.
