The DEİK/Türkiye-Sweden Business Council was established in February 1993 on the basis of an Establishment Agreement signed with the Swedish Export Council Exportradet. Sweden is a country with a high level of economic prosperity and thus potentially a huge market. The Council pursues the goal of increasing the market share of high-quality consumer goods Made in Türkiye, and organises promotional activities to inform about areas of cooperation in particular in high-tech, forestry, medicine, electronics and energy.
Currently, the Business Council is focussed on attracting investments by Swedish ICT and high-tech companies to Türkiye.
